About Us
The Nurse Practitioner Council of Coastal Georgia was founded by a small group of Nurse Practitioners in 1997 for the purpose of discussing the needs of nurse practitioners in the coastal region. Among the founding members were Vicki Worden, Cathy Schmitz, and Judy Woods. Since then, it has evolved slowly into the association that it is today.
The Nurse Practitioner Council of Coastal Georgia is a professional nursing organization that is being organized to provide continuing education programs for nurse practitioners and advanced practice nurses of coastal Georgia. The NPCCG lobbies for professionally related legislative and practice issues. The NPCCG coordinates community educational efforts and provides evidence for the formalization of the Nurse Practitioner Council of Coastal Georgia.
Our current President, Melanie Finocchiaro, invites everyone to join us. Membership is $50.00. This includes the monthly dinner meetings and CEU's. Students are welcome-at a reduceed rate. Dinner meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month, we will announce the new location each month on this website and on the phone message line as well. We always have great food, great conversation and great networking opportunities. Please join us! |
